MX Road is a vastly accepted and used software based on string-based modeling which helps engineers, designers and surveyors to draw rapid and accurate designs of all kinds of roads.Its created by Bentley Systems among other engineering and architecture software and is widely used in India and other countries. 

This MX Road Course by Civil Guruji covers the distance from basic to completing an actual road case to help engineers understand how the work is done professionally by highway engineers.

Starting at the basics, the modules begin by explaining how the software is to be installed and run and then understanding the interface of the software.
Once this is covered, the engineers learn about importing survey data into the software from various other formats and preparing the data for the design and analysis of road.

The course covers the creating of road surface, using the survey data to analyze the horizontal alignment of the road. They also understand the difference between finalizing an alignment through a built-up area or a green-field project. After this the vertical profile is created for the road where the high points and sags on the road are finalized.

The engineers then learn to incorporate the necessary road elements into the design such as the superelevation, design of pavement, creating cross sections, long sections and passage for underpasses (VUP, SUP) as per the IRC Codes used for road design like IRC 38 1998, IRC SP 23 1993 and more. 

As the engineers proceed, the supporting files of MX Road, excel sheets and analysis reports are shared with them to help them better understand the concepts when they try it in their own systems.
The learners get to learn from multiple cases to apply the design, analysis and also understand the frequent problems faced by the professionals when they work on actual road projects.
