What next after GATE 2023? Best opportunities for you!

2nd of January, 2023

We recently completed our GATE exams and are presently seated in front of our laptops looking for various opportunities that ask, "What After GATE?" just as you are doing right now reading this blog. In this blog, I will detail each and every possibility after GATE and provide answers to your different questions, such as:

 1. Life after GATE?

 2. Job opportunities after the GATE exam?

 3. Top 10 opportunities after the GATE exam? And many more.

Let’s start with the very hot cake option which is PSU’S (PUBLIC SECTOR UNDERTAKING). Public sector undertakings (PSUs) are sometimes referred to as statutory corporations, nationalized firms, government-owned businesses, and government-owned corporations. While State Public Sector Undertakings (SPSUs) are either entirely or substantially owned by state or territorial governments, these organizations are either wholly or partially owned by the Government of India or one of the various Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs). Candidates who are interested in working for a PSU will face intense competition because if they are chosen through GATE, they will be eligible to receive a variety of benefits, including:

Job Security: PSU employees enjoy unparalleled job security. In contrast to the private sector, where performance-based dismissals are frequent, they are rarely fired for poor performance.

Medical Insurance Benefits: PSU employees receive respectable medical coverage and reimbursements for both themselves and their families.

Benefits of Retirement Life: PSU workers receive respectable post-retirement reimbursements like pension funds, gratuities, and salary arrears, which makes retirement stress-free.

The majority of PSU employees receive competitive pay packages when compared to those in the private sector. Depending on their position, PSU employees are eligible for a number of benefits and bonuses.PSU employees have set working hours that allow them to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

What are the different types of PSUs in India?

In India, PSUs are broken down into three groups based on their investment strategies and other traits. PSUs fall under the category of:

Navratnas: Under the Securities and Exchange Board of India, the Navratna PSUs are publicly listed. Both nationally and internationally are served by these PSUs. The annual revenue of Navratna PSUs ranges from about 2,000 crores to 1 lakh crores INR. Examples of Navratna PSUs include Bharat Petroleum, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, and Power Grid Corporation of India.

Under the heading of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs), the Maharatna PSUs are listed. Maharatna PSUs will have a medium turnover when measured against Navratna PSUs. Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation are a few examples of Maharatna PSUs.

Miniratna PSUs: In comparison to Navratna PSUs and Maharatna PSUs, Miniratna PSUs have lower turnover. Both Miniratna Category-I and Miniratna Category-II PSUs are subsets of these. Mineral Exploration Corporation Ltd., Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, and the Indian Airports Authority. are just a few instances of Miniratna PSUs.
